overview
SHIP is located in Suburban Philadelphia, Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The axiom “Open for Innovation,” coined by Lawrence J. Stuardi, President of MRA Group, is not only illustrative of SHIP, but the larger Philadelphia metro area due to noteworthy innovation happening throughout the region. The area has a burgeoning biotech sector that is now one of the largest in the U.S.
Upon acquiring the former Rohm and Haas research and development headquarters in 2017, MRA Group established a vision to create the business and research campus of the future; a place where today’s learning, collaboration and discovery shape the future of our world.
Designated a BioLaunch611+Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) as part of a statewide initiative to foster life sciences and technology innovation and entrepreneurship, SHIP’s campus was specifically designed to spark collaboration and innovation. The approx. 600,000 square feet of workspaces at SHIP include incubator laboratories, state-of-the-art research and development facilities, Class A office and coworking space. Our campus also features a university-affiliated regional center for innovation and advanced production, as well as a business incubation and commercialization center.
Being transformed into a dynamic, multi-faceted village complete with work/life/play lifestyle amenities, the vision for SHIP includes a fitness center, restaurant, boutique hotel, conference center, walking trails and retail stores— all the key ingredients for an elevated work-life experience. Conveniently situated in the heart of Montgomery County, PA, near major roadways and SEPTA’s regional rail stations, SHIP’s location is highly desirable to attract and retain the region’s top talent.
The 133-acre Spring House campus boasts a peaceful, bucolic setting with all buildings spilling into a centralized courtyard, the epicenter, linking tenants to shared spaces and common areas. Not only is it visibly attractive, but in proximity as well. For global organizations, SHIP is easily accessible to major international airports and key metropolitan areas such as:
- Philadelphia
- Lehigh Valley
- New York
- Washington, D.C.
- Baltimore
- Boston
SHIP is near Philadelphia International Airport & Amtrak’s 30th Street Station, only 18 miles from Center City Philadelphia, 4 miles from the PA Turnpike Fort Washington Interchange, minutes from several SEPTA regional rail train stations and offers quick access to major roadways, including PA Route 309, I-476 and I-76.
Our mission is to deliver an environment that fosters human connection and collaboration & a dynamic workplace conducive for innovation.
